All incomes collected inside project will be used for scholarships in Tanzania. Focus today is to offer especially gifted youngsters access to Secondary education (i.e. high-school education).

Amka (Arise/Wake up) Na (With) Elimu (Knowledge)

is a charity that was started with a objective to help young people in Tanzania by providing funding for them to continue their education. Education in Tanzania is free up to a certain level. Because of the poor conditions most young people are not able to complete elementary school. Now especially gifted students are able to apply for help from our charity.

Student Centre

Currently we are in the process of opening student center in Tanzanian capital Dar es Salaam. Goal is to help students with a litterature and computers and provide them with quiet place for studying. Students can also find printed application forms for different colleges, high-schools and various other charities. Students who are
receiving or have received grants from our charity are required to work in our student center. Student center is located in Dar Es Salaam suburb of Tabata and is projected to open in November 2010.

Scholarship fund 

 Currently our charity is providing schoolarship to number of students in Tanzania where education is scarcity due to wide-spread powerty. Students receiving schoolarship are required to work at student center and assist other students. On the ground in Tanzania project is currently driven by two past schoolarship receivers. The goal is that the project will be completely driven by Tanzanians thus offering work places in Tanzania.
